Easement Ready LLC ("we," "us") operates Easement Ready. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it. We take a minimal-collection approach: we ask only for what the Service requires.

What We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you use Easement Ready, we may collect:

• Email address — required to deliver your report and communicate with you about your purchase.
• State — required to verify eligibility (California is excluded) and to localize land value data.
• Questionnaire answers — your responses to the review questionnaire, including property details, easement type, acreage, and current land uses. This information is used only to produce your report.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full credit card number. We receive a payment confirmation and a customer identifier from Stripe.

Information collected automatically

We collect minimal technical information when you use the Service, including your IP address (used for security and fraud prevention), browser type, and pages visited. We use basic analytics to understand which library articles are helpful. We do not use advertising trackers or build advertising profiles.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate and deliver your personalized review report
• Send transactional emails related to your purchase (receipt, report delivery, follow-up)
• Respond to support requests
• Improve the accuracy of our estimation tools
• Maintain the security of the Service

We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to third parties.

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your information with third parties except service providers who help us operate the Service (Stripe for payments, Resend for transactional email, Supabase for database hosting). These providers process your information only as necessary to perform their services.
• We do not build advertising profiles or share your information with data brokers.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account and data, we will delete your personally identifiable information within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations. Some aggregated, anonymized data may be retained for service improvement purposes.

Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies: session cookies to maintain your logged-in state, and basic analytics cookies to understand site usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the Service require session cookies to function.

Geographic Scope

Easement Ready is intended for U.S. landowners only. We do not knowingly collect information from users outside the United States. California residents may access free library content but are not eligible for the paid review service at this time.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and limited access controls for staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable precautions.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated by email if you have an account.
